Counting a till in Canada
Canada stopped making pennies in 2013 and rounds cash purchases to the nearest 5 cents. Card payments aren't rounded, which is why your cash count and your card total won't always agree to the cent.
A drawer that's a few cents out can still be perfectly balanced. Compare against the cash portion of your sales, not the day's full total.
Notes are $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100. The $100 is rare in retail and worth a second look when it appears — check it before you take it and again before you bank it.
